Sonoma Community was a brand created to celebrate spotlight moments, such as Hispanic Heritage Month and Women’s History Month. The brand was also created for a younger audience, giving artists on the team more creative freedom to explore trends and emerging aesthetics.
Sonoma, Apt.9, FLX, and Tek Gear are Kohl’s private brands which I have also made work for. Work is continually added to this page as I continue to create.

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Hispanic Heritage Month’s art direction was bold and colorful, with a focus on nature and the aesthetic of hand-crafted goods. South American street signs were a major inspiration for high contrast color combinations.

VETERANS DAY
The goal of the Veterans day collection was to create product that not only honored the sacrifice of those who served, but to also give the family of those who served a way to show their support. I had the honor to be lead artist on this collection, and provided some art direction and a typeface guide to the other artists involved.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
I had the honor of being the captain and lead artist of Kohl’s 2024 Black History Month Collection. I created original art, provided art direction, edited art files, presented concept and other presentation to leadership, and met with other POC at the company to ensure the proper tone for the collection.

LUNAR NEW YEAR 2024
Guest artist Stevie Shao was the mind behind our 2024 Lunar New Year collection. I was involved in the technical processing of some files, such as palette color matching and uploading files for vendor access. All credit to Stevie Shao.
